Ten Digits Make All Numbers
We use a Base Ten System to encode (write) and decode (read) numbers.
Where the digits are placed, determines the meaning or value.
The position of letters changes a word:

The position of digits changes the meaning of a number:
01 10
Like only one car fits in a parking space, only one digit can fit in a number parking place.
