(1) Identify the denomination.

Hundreds is the place value denomination.
(2) Identify the amount of the denomination.
10 is the amount.
(3) Locate the place value on the chart and start there.
(4) Write the amount, starting in the denomination place and moving to the left.
Write 10, starting with a zero in the hundreds place, and with a 1 to the left in the thousands place.
(5) Fill in the zeros to the decimal point.
(6) Read the number.
(7) You have completed automatic multiplication: "10 x 100 = 1,000".
